The prime minister didn’t win the confidence vote last night, a year and two months after his government was elected in December 2020. Zdravko Krivokapic’s government has fallen, and as the saying goes – it has caused misery to the Montenegrin people. Most MPs from both sides, the government and opposition, agree on one thing – Montenegro hasn’t had worse administration than this one. But if citizens don’t trust politicians, they should trust facts, as they’re the best indicators of the results of work of this “expert government”.
At the very beginning of its mandate, at the news conference, PM Zdravko Krivokapic said he had never done anything secretly, forgetting that his government borrowed 750 million euro secretly and in an organised way. After that, the government first shut down the national airline Montenegro Airlines only to set up a new company for 0 euro.
During the mandate, the government run by Mr Krivokapic shut down many companies and chased away investors. They recruited members and supporters of the parties making up the ruling majority, as well as their cousins and friends…
The government created an absolute chaos in the healthcare sector as well. They struggled with the coronavirus pandemic, whereas the coronavirus rules weren’t respected by the prime minister himself. Many scandals happened in the healthcare sector run by Jelena Borovinic Bojovic thus weakening capacities of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, the largest health institution of this type in the country.
The education sector wasn’t anything better either. More than 400 head teachers were dismissed literally overnight, most of whom even sued the state.
Other departments also made a lot of promises but lacked expertise.
