The government will find a model for the implementation of the Thermal Power Plant (TE) second block project even in case the Czech Skoda Praha company, which the construction is entrusted to, does not agree with General Electric and other partners, PM Dusko Markovic announced.
“Skoda Praha hired General Electric as a potential new partner. We are waiting patiently for their offer. If there is no agreement between Skoda Praha and General Electric and other partners, the government will find a model for the implementation of the second block project,” Markovic told reporters after a tour on the Bar-Boljare highway construction site.
He added that the government has already begun considering alternative options in this regard.
“Building a second block of the power plant is unquestionable. But it must be based on a credible investor who will be able to respond to our economic demands and goals when it comes to the second block,” Markovic said.
