Govt decided to negotiate over economy with Serbia

Vlada Crne Gore

After six and a half years, the current government is “bring back to life” the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia, while one of the two co-chairs will be the Economic Development Minister, Jakov Milatovic.

Based on the decision from the latest session, it’s about the “obligation” laid down by agreement the two countries signed back in 2009 but that has never actually realised. The first session of this inter-state body was held on 29 November 2013 in Podgorica and the second one on 2 March 2015 in Belgrade, reports Dnevne Novine daily.

“Following the parliamentary election held on 30 August 2020, the new Government of Montenegro was set up and there’s a need to nominate new members of the commission in line with the new organisation of the government,” the decision suggests.
