PM Milojko Spajic’s government will submit to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) contracts concluded by the previous government headed by Dritan Abazovic, CdM learns. According to CdM’s information, the current Government considers that these contracts are illegal and that they will cost the state at least €350,000.
At today’s cabinet meeting, the Government adopted the Information on the use of lobbying services for the needs of the Government of Montenegro by the company Bipartizan Solutions Inc. from Washington. At the meeting, there were no dissenting opinions that the contract should be forwarded to SDT.
It can be concluded from the documentation that Abazovic signed the contract without a prior Government’s decision.
The document, which CdM had access to, adds that on 4 January 2023, the Cabinet of the President of the Government of Montenegro submitted to the Government of Montenegro Information on the Agreement on the use of lobbying services between the Government of Montenegro and the company Bipartizan Solution Inc. from Washington for consideration and adoption.
The Government believes that the Law on Public Procurement was also violated because a tender had not been called for this service.
