The highest gross salary paid last year amounted to €71,551, the Tax Administration told Dnevne Novine. This gross salary was paid to a person employed in a consultancy service business, in the field of information technologies.
According to the financial institution, this sum was not paid as a regular monthly salary. Therefore it can be concluded that it might be a severance payment, a bonus payment or some other form of personal income.
Employees in retail stores (€348) and administrative clerks (€339) received the lowest gross salaries in 2017.
