There is a lot of money wasting in the health care system of Montenegro, health minister Kenan Hrapovic said. He added that the ministry monitored all medical facilities and that it would be no tolerance in terms of unreasonable spending towards anyone.
Asked to comment on PM Dusko Markovic’s statement that he was dissatisfied with the health care system in Montenegro, Hrapovic said he agreed with him.
“It’s completely understandable. I have repeatedly said that I have been caught by the situation in the health care system of Montenegro, but it is our reality,” Hrapovic told reporters at the opening of the reconstructed Clinic for Neurology.
Therefore, the ministry is to invest all of its resources to solve the problem, he said.
Speaking of the Faculty of Medicine, he said that the dean of the faculty had said he would analyse long-term work of the institution.
“I am confident that the faculty justifies the invested funds and expectations of the citizens of Montenegro,” said Hrapovic.
He said that the project of strengthening regional hospitals’ capacity was ongoing in order to reduce the pressure on the KCCG national hospital.
