After President of Assembly of Medical Association of Montenegro Nebojsa Sekulic said that it was not correct that he agreed to revoke presidency of Aleksandar Mugosa during a meeting with Minister of Health Kenan Hrapovic, the Ministry responded, saying they have no intention “to comment on headlines and media speculation”.
“The Ministry stated its attitude clearly yesterday, signed and agreed upon in joint statement to the media. There were no changes in our attitude. Ministry will no longer comment on this matter until yesterday’s conclusions have been implemented. The Ministry will be dedicated to more pressing matters”, the statement reads.
The Ministry and Medical Association have different attitudes on the selection of Mugosa for president of the Association. Mugosa was chosen on January 31st, inheriting the post from Djoko Jocic who has been president for two decades.
Hrapovic asked for new elections, which was denied by the Association, that even announced a lawsuit against the resolution of the Minister.
