Ahead of the meeting with President Jakov Milatovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic has pointed out that the situation in the diplomatic network is worrying. We lack a total of 27 ambassadors, which, says Ibrahimovic, sends a bad message. He expects that an agreement with Milatovic will solve a long-standing problem.
In an interview for RTCG, Ibrahimovic said that it was unacceptable that the Montenegrin mission to NATO did not have a head of mission, and the same situation was in New York.
Also, it is a devastating fact that when it comes to the region, we have no ambassadors in those countries, he stressed. “Therefore, we do not have ambassadors in Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia,” said Ibrahimovic.
He added that prompt action had to be taken and that the state of the diplomatic network was quite worrying.
All this is a consequence of political instability in Montenegro, Ibrahimovic pointed out.
