The same day when daily “Vijesti” published special addition on eight pages saying that businessman Petros Statis, one of the greatest investors in Montenegro, performed suspicious money transactions, “similar to money laundering”, in cooperation with the Asian businessman Paul Puo, “Vijesti” sent to the addresses of his enterprises offers for business cooperation.
Marketing service of “Vijesti” sent to Adriatic Properties, owned by Statis and leaseholder of Hotel complex Sveti Stefan, Miločer and Maestral, an offer to advertise it on three media platforms: TV, print edition and on the portal of “Vijesti”.
The same day, 27 November, a marketing service of “Vijesti” sent an email to the email address of Universal Capital Bank, explaining that companies of Statis can be advertised on three information platforms.
The offer was addressed to the man who has four information platforms operating within his holding. Therefore, while “Vijesti” is trying to damage the reputation of Statis, at the same time and from the same media house, official offers for the cooperation with him came to his address. Cooperation with the same man whom they accused of doing illegal business and money laundering without any valid reason! How is this way of doing business called in real life?
