While politicians summarize the election results and plan how to form a government, citizens are struggling with everyday problems. A professor at the Faculty of Economy, Bozo Mihailovic, agrees that the inflation has risen above 10%.
The February prices went up by 6.7% compared to the same period last year, according to official data of MONSTAT. However, professor Mihailovic estimates that the inflation has risen far beyond the official data.
“Obviously, this doesn’t mean a lot to people who decide on our destinies and standards. They have high incomes, they’re well taken care of in every respect, in every area and it’s easy for them not to feel the crisis and push the people into the abyss,” he said.
