As announced by the ministry, the inspection was conducted from 18 to 27 January according to the methodology of the World Health Organisation and its final results will be announced and presented to the public in late February.
“UNICEF experts have concluded that the national team is fully trained to independently implement a quality assessment of the situation in other maternity wards in Montenegro, by using the same methodology,” it was said in the statement.
The ministry added that this or a similar form of quality control of health care facilities would apply in the future in all segments of the health care system.
“On the basis of these findings, the health care system will be upgraded,” it was added in the statement.
