Both former and current Montenegrin MPs found themselves at wonder after their names appeared on fake travel orders. They learned about this occurrence after Police invited them as citizens to give a statement and bring their passports.
Speaking to DN daily, they reminded of law procedure that states that a travel order cannot be justified without a personal signature.
Who signed the orders in their name, who took the money and when – remains to be discovered in the investigation.
DN daily published that the new administration of the Parliament submitted an amendment to the criminal report asking that the investigation covers entire 2016.
According to DN daily sources, Basic State Prosecution already has hundreds of suspicious orders. Speculated damage to the budget is over 100.000 EUR.
This only seems to be a tip of the iceberg when it comes to suspicious expenses during the time Ranko Krivokapic was the president of the Parliament.
MPs from the last assembly of the Parliament said that 2016 was “minor” compared to 2015. Due to suspicions of abuse, they asked for precise data on financial aspects of that year, especially on hidden expenses that were listed as “other reimbursements”.
As a reminder, in the financial report of the Parliament for 2015, for “other personal income” there was 31.000 allocated, and 151.000 EUR spent, with no explanation as to why was there such an overstepping and where did the money end up.
Plan for official travels was higher for 150.000 EUR. For expenses for freelance contracts, 60.000 EUR was planned and 233.000 EUR spent. 90.000 EUR were spent by Krivokapic and his three advisors. The report showed that Krivokapic received monthly salary for being honorary president of OEBS Parliament.
This data was the reason Board for economy returned this document to be amended, asking for further explanations.
Whether this investigation will inspire further digging, remains to be seen. For now, attention is focused on fake travel orders.

Generous spendings
Three advisors to the former president of the Parliament Ranko Krivokapic spent 54.160 EUR for a year of official travels and daily wages, DN daily wrote back in April 2016.
On the other hand, president of the Parliament spent the most money on travels. For 12 months of 2015, Krivokapic cost the Parliament 34.488 EUR for his travels.
