As of 1 October, Montenegro primary and secondary schools will reopen following the coronavirus outbreak, meaning that all 1-6 grading students in primary schools as well as 1st grade students in secondary schools should start with their preps for the new school year. As for the rest, they will be studying online and will go to school for consultations every 15 days, the Ministry of Education has announced today.
“In addition, students of vocational secondary schools will be doing practice and given exercises at school or their employer, strictly adhering to the prescribed measures. Lessons will last 30 minutes and there will be no more than 4 of them in a day, while high school students may have maximum 6 lessons.”
Regardless of the fact that some students will go back to school, the Ministry of Education recorded videos for all grades of primary and secondary school, which will be broadcast on TVCG2 and MNE Sport from October 1. For students who follow lessons in Albanian, TV Teuta and TV Boin will broadcast classes. The broadcast schedule will be posted on the website www.ucidoma.me, the teachers’ portal www.skolskiportal.edu.me, the YouTube channel ‘Uci doma’, and the website of the Ministry of Education, social networks and TV channels.
“Teachers have an obligation to regularly monitor the progress of their students through homework, essays, presentations, project tasks and other activities,” the Ministry of Education has stated.
Having in mind the fact that there are students who are unable to study via the aforementioned methods of communication, schools must provide an alternative by submitting tasks and other materials, also strictly adhering to the prescribed Covid-19 measures.
