President of Serbian Progressive Party SNS and Prime Minister of Serbia has become a new president of Serbia, Ipsos and CeSID data show. Sasa Jankovic is second with 16.3%, Luka Maksimovic (Ljubisa Preletacevic Beli) is third with 9,4%, while Vuk Jeremic won 5,7% of the votes.
6.724.949 people have a right to vote in Serbia. 11 candidates participated in elections: Sasa Jankovic, Vuk Jeremic, Miroslav Parovic, Sasa Radulovic, Luka Maksimovic, Aleksandar Vucic, Bosko Obradovic, Vojislav Seselj, Aleksandar Popovic, Milan Stamatovic and Nenad Canak.
Chief of Austrian diplomacy Sebastian Kurz already congratulated the new president, as well as EU commissioner for expansion Johannes Hahn.
CeSID stated that there would not be a second round.
