While the last remaining candidates are to be heard before the Constitutional Committee today, inter-party consultations on the issue of electing judges of the Constitutional Court began the day before yesterday.
It is clear what is in front of Montenegro this time – if an operational Constitutional Court is established, it is potentially a path to early elections, and then to the stabilization of political conditions. If something opposite happens – we are expecting severe consequences, especially when it comes to the process of European integration.
MP URA Bozena Jelusic points out that she still believes in the agreement.
“Every morning I get scared by some who say they don’t believe in the agreement; I believe in the agreement. I really can’t even imagine what would happen if we don’t choose the judges”, says Jelusic.
According to the expected pace, and if there are no unforeseen moments, it is expected that the vote on the candidates at the plenum could take place already at the beginning of next month.
