The head imam in Pljevlja Samir Kadribasic reacted to a recent statement by the Movement for Changes’ (PzP) leader Nebojsa Medojevic. Medojevic compared all those who vote for Milo Djukanovic in the presidential election to those who gave up on their Orthodox faith and took up Islam in the times of Turkish rule in the region.
Kadribasic said he wasn’t surprised by Medojevic’s statement.
He also said that Medojevic’s position reflected that of the entire opposition and of the presidential candidate he supported, Mladen Bojanic. He said that no Montenegrin Muslim should forget this on the presidential election day when they are about to cast their vote.
