Currently, 200 workers are employed in the log and alloy factories as well as other parts of the Podgorica-based Aluminum Plant, KAP, while the rest were left jobless. We believe that they will be recruited in Elektroprivreda as they had been promised, the Uniprom company told Pobjeda daily.
They confirmed that 170 electrolysis cells have been shut down as planned, while 12 are being active in order to complete the expertise for gases that has been going on for a year so that all environmental parameters may improve.
Asked how they’re going to pay €450 salaries to jobless workers, Uniprom says they’re going to provide for them until they find a job or some other source of income in the next six months.
