Chief Special Prosecutor, Milivoje Katnić, says that there’s no any reason for him to resign, despite the fact that citizens are requesting that. He said that the results he had achieved ever since he had been appointed best answered the question whether he would resign or not.
“Take into consideration everything I have done so far. Ask Duško Knežević and other people I prosecuted if I will resign. Ask the members of 12 organized criminal groups whom I brought to justice. I also believe that 88 accused persons and 28 indictments brought for the organized crime will also give you an answer”, replied Katnić when asked if he will resign.
Citizens want Katnić to resign due to selective justice system. However, he says that he treats everybody the same.
“I’m sorry that they managed to enrage the people. They’d better go somewhere and plough, grow onion or something like that. A tough year is ahead of us. This is a helpful piece of advice, that’s what it is”, said Katnić.
