Apart from the scanty news that there was an incident on a government plane on Monday night, there is no more detailed information. Two days have passed, and neither the government, nor the police or the competent Prosecutor’s Office have responded in relation to this issue. CdM has contacted the Police Directorate and the Prosecutor’s Office regarding this event, but none of them have still replied.
None of the mentioned even issued a statement with the famous phrase “that the investigation will determine the causes of the incident, and that the public will be informed in a timely manner”.
So far, official institutions have provided no information about this case, not even via their favorite social network – Twitter.
For now, it is known that the plane of the Government of Montenegro was damaged on Monday at around 10pm, at the Podgorica airport, and that no one was injured on that occasion. That evening, a delegation of the Montenegrin Parliament led by Parliament Speaker Aleksa Becic returned from Slovenia on a government plane.
Some media, referring to unofficial information, carried the information that the plane wheels were blocked during the final phase of the flight, due to which the plane was circling over Podgorica for some time.
There is no information on who is in charge of maintaining the government plane (whether it is an airplane and helicopter unit of the Ministry of the Interior or the new government has entrusted the maintenance to someone else).
It is also speculated that in the previous few months, more passengers than the allowed number were transported by the government plane.
