Leader of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) Milan Knezevic called on Prime Minister Milojko Spajic to get involved in solving the problem of the Podgorica-Zeta demarcation.
“Mayor Olivera Injac doesn’t seem to have time”, Knezevic said, reports portal Analitika.
He added that if no agreement was reached, DNP would leave the local government in Podgorica.
“And at the state level, I will review the participation of DNP in the government if the problems of the residents of Zeta are not resolved”, Knezevic pointed out.
The President of the Municipality of Zeta, Mihailo Asanovic, said that during the negotiations with Podgorica, they were looking for what was specified in the Government’s decision (August 2022).
“Why does the Capital City not respect the laws of Montenegro? Botun and Cijevna are unequivocally in the Municipality of Zeta. They left us a pool of red mud, asphalt bases… And they want to take everything valuable from Zeta”, said Asanovic.
He stated that several international companies, including Lidl and Nelt, expressed their intention to open facilities in Zeta.
“This will be my last peaceful appeal to the Capital City because we will be forced to radicalize our struggle”, said Asanovic.
Zeta Assembly Member Nebojsa Domazetovic said that Zeta was destroyed during the past decades and that now it was “full of ecological bombs”.
