Knezevic: State national security pretty endangered

The national security of Montenegro is quite threatened, says the president of the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense, Milan Knezevic.

He stated this after the session of the National Security Council, where the alleged ties between the leader of the Europe Now movement, Milojko Spajic, and the South Korean citizen Do Kwon were discussed.

Knezevic told reporters that Do Kwon’s letter to PM Dritan Abazovic, Minister of Justice Marko Kovac and Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novovic was read at the Council session.

“In that letter, he explains the nature of his relationship with (Milojko) Spajic, and what is much more important to me is that I was right – that there are certain laptops and phones, and they are with Suzana Mugosa,” said Knezevic.

He stated that Mugosa was the address for further action for what is stored in Do Kwon’s laptops.

“Do Kwon’s activity was both regional and, it seems to me, worldwide. It was better for us that ISIL came to Montenegro, than this crypto community,” said Knezevic.

As he added, what they heard at the Council could be heard in every pub in Podgorica.

“I think that the national security of the country is quite threatened. The prosecutor received the letter yesterday, and whether there will be specific actions is a question for Novovic. I would hear Kwon and Spajic after the elections, I would not do it before the elections,” said Knezevic.

He stated that certain actions had to be carried out and that the laptop had to be checked.
