Ambition of a young Kolasin resident, Danilo Jeknic, a student of the Faculty of Political Sciences, has accidentally brought him a priceless experience. He learned Chinese while being a highway worker.
Today, Danilo speaks Chinese and learned his first words on the Matesevo construction site. He was working there to earn money for his studies.
“I heard it first time from Chinese workers and found it interesting…” he tells TVCG.
By listening to the conversations on the construction site, he wished to face challenges of that language which isn’t easy to learn at all, but Danilo doesn’t have a problem to use it in everyday communication any more.
Four years ago, he represented Montenegro at the world’s Chinese language competition in Beijing and achieved satisfactory results. But as he adds, we can learn a lot from the Chinese.
“They’re very organized, they all get those positions they imagined. They’re very serious when it comes to work and are going to speak about it until they finalize it or are about to end it,” Danilo says.
