Kosovo government preparing for Markovic’s visit

Montenegrin PM Dusko Markovic is to visit Kosovo by the end of this month. The Government of Kosovo says it is organising this visit and that it is expected between 20 and 30 January.

“PM Ramush Haradinaj and his Montenegrin counterpart agreed about Markovic’s visit to Kosovo at the meeting in December last year. Markovic is expected to come between 20 and 30 January 2018,” the Kosovo Government Information Office representative Halil Matoshi told IndexOnline.

Asked by an IndexOnline’s reporter what he specifically expects from his Montenegrin counterpart, Haradinaj said that it was important to deepen the cooperation between Kosovo and Montenegro in all areas.

“There are dozens of bilateral agreements that need to be achieved by the two states, including the one on border demarcation. Regardless of how the processes with the demarcation of the border develop, life between the two countries continues, relations need to develop, and there are many topics that are in the interest of the two sides,” Haradinaj said.
