Krivokapić complains to IMF

Zdravko Krivokapić

During recent talks with the IMF Mission to Montenegro, PM Zdravko Krivokapić has complained that his Government lacks the support of either the ruling majority or the opposition in Montenegro’s Parliament, that less than 20% of the public administration was usable, and accused the previous government of having left an empty budget. This is stated in a document that CdM had access to.

The document states that PM Krivokapić has asked the IMF representatives for understanding due to the situation the Government has been in 100 days after taking office.

He has stated that the situation has been resolved in the short term, because after 3 days of work, the new Government, as PM Krivokapić claims, borrowed nearly €750m under favorable conditions.

He has also complained to the IMF Mission about the staff in the state administration.

He has said that one of the Government goals is to depoliticize the society in terms of creating a system that is less dependent on politics, in the center of which will be a citizen, not a political party, and that the Government, with the help of the IMF, will be able to sustainably project the future.

Among other things, PM Krivokapić has complained to the IMF Mission about nepotism, corruption, crime, etc.
