In an extraordinary address to the public, PM Zdravko Krivokapić has said that he will initiate the dismissal procedure for Minister of Justice and Human and Minority Rights Vladimir Leposavić due to his controversial statement on Srebrenica. Mr Leposavić previously refused to resign, which PM Krivokapić asked him to do. The Prime Minister is to send the proposal for his dismissal to Parliament today.
“No one is in the phase of being able to wait 4 years for the expiration of their term. Minister Leposavić’s statement has added fuel to the fire”, Mr Krivokapić explains.
He claims that there has been no pressure from foreign embassies on his decision. He says he has made it right away, but the weekend served to calm the passions.
