Finally, the time has come to correct the decades of delay and merge the Pljevlja Coal Mine and EPCG. Thus we will create the conditions to focus all attention on increasing productivity in the thermal power sector, the chairman of the EPCG Board of Directors Djoko Krivokapic said in an interview with Dnevne Novine.
He said he expected PECG shareholders to adopt the decision on buying Coal Mine’s shares at today’s meeting.
Asked whether €6.4 per share is a fair price for Coal Mine’s shares and if it is profitable for EPCG shareholders, Krivokapic said that taking over the mining company would mean better valorisation of the Pljevlja energy complex, which would bring benefits to EPCG, the state and the Municipality of Pljevlja. Therefore, it is in the interest of EPCG shareholders to make such a decision, he said.
