Suspended head of Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) Radosav Lješković will return to his former position in SAJ, as his parole is to expire by 21 February. Lješković was sentenced to prison for a criminal offence- aiding a perpetrator of a criminal offence, Dan has written.
Lješković was sentenced to 5 years in prison as he rejected to reveal the names of officers who brutally attacked citizens on several locations in Podgorica after the protest of the Democratic Front (DF). He spent 20 days in prison, after which he went to Brezovik to receive treatment in the hospital.
Despite serving his sentence outside of prison, he was approved a parole and released from prison a month and a half before his automatic release.
His parole is to expire by 21 February and according to regulations, despite having committed a criminal offence as a head of SAJ, he is allowed to return to his position the day after (22 February).
