Liberal Party in Montenegro has become full-fledged member of ALDE – Alliance of Liberals and Democrats of Europe at 40th Congress which is taking place in Athens today, said representatives of the party.
“Alliance that gathers over 60 liberal parties, seven prime ministers and 15 governments if European states, has accepted the request for LP membership. This is a recognition for the policy conducted by the LP and its management, and support for further enhancement of liberalism in Montenegro”, said Liberals.
LP delegation , headed by Mr Andrija Popović, was also represented by international secretary, Ms Satka Hajdarpašić, and spokesman, Mr Amar Borančić.
“They presented LP in Athens today. Congress Delegates analyzed the position of LP in the Montenegrin governing majority and the importance of liberal policy for the accelerated reforms and Montenegro’s EU membership”, added Liberals.
