Novica Nole Knezevic (39) from Savnik was arrested on Wednesday in Budva because he threatened Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic on Facebook.

As the Police Directorate stated, Knezevic was arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of assault on a public official performing his/her official duties.

“On his Facebook account, he posted a message to Katnic threatening his life and body. The threats were related to the performance of his official duties, specifically to the issue of lifting two MPs’ immunity”.

Knezevic was brought to the state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Kotor.

“For someone St. Trifun’s Day, for someone St. Valentine’s Day, and for you special prosecutor Milivoje Katnic: I’m Nole Knezevic, a grandson of Veselin Veso Knezevic and Krsto Grdinic. I’d say that this is not my personal advert or boasting. I’m former Montenegrin interior ministry member, I’m 39, and I haven’t entered this country for five years. I’m not going to say that this is a warning, this is rather a promise that you’ll end up like ZORAN DJINDJIC, and perhaps like IVAN STAMBOLIC, if you continue with these arrest attempts. And you may detain me in order to tell you this personally,” reads Knezevic’s Facebook status.

Police stated that after questioning, the prosecutor ordered Knezevic to be detained in police premises until he is brought to the investigative judge of the Basic Court in Kotor.
