“This is a dangerous plan. It can lead to conflict in Montenegro. We do not want Montenegro to risk its future. We do not want the country, in which there is peace and still some kind of order and coexistence of different communities, to be converted into a powder keg and that developments happening in the North African countries occur here,” said Mandic.
As RTCG portal carried, in his interview Mandic also said that during the bombing in 1999, Serbia and Montenegro underwent the same and that “murderers, people who had committed the most serious war crimes in ex Yugoslavia intended to force one its part in NATO in a fraudulent way, against the will of the citizens and without a referendum.”
Mandic also commented on DF leaders’ visit to Moscow, saying that this was the first visit of the Montenegrin opposition at such a level because they met with the Speaker of the Russian Parliament Sergei Naryshkin.
As he said, they had talks with Naryshkin according to which they understood that Russia wanted to build good relations with Montenegro in the future, “but with Montenegro, which would not belong to Milo Djukanovic, impose sanctions against Russia and join the NATO alliance and which would primarily take care of its own interests,” Mandic concluded.
