Maras: Tivat–Amsterdam route to launch in May

Jelena Maraš

Jelena Maras, Chair of the Board of Airports of Montenegro, announced the launch of a new Tivat–Amsterdam flight operated by TUI fly Netherlands, starting on 13 May 2026. The route will run twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, through the end of September, with tickets already on sale.

The announcement follows other positive developments, including Wizz Air opening a base in Podgorica and a record three million passengers handled in a single year. Tivat Airport will also gain new routes to Madrid with Iberia and to London Heathrow with British Airways.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air is significantly expanding operations in Podgorica, adding 16 new routes to its existing seven. According to Maras, Montenegro will next season have its largest-ever air network, with around 70 routes from Podgorica and about 60 from Tivat.
