Marković: Works on the road towards Dečani will start in the next term of office

Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Mr Duško Marković, opened in Plav today renewed town square, visited several construction sites and announced start of construction of the road from Plav to Dečani in Kosovo.

“I want to express satisfaction with everything we have done over the past three years here in Plav. We have concluded over €8 million worth contracts on the development of Plav ad its infrastructure. So far, €5,2 million have been spent. Prnjavorska street has been finished, Ribarska street as well, the first section of Plav-Vojno selo road has been finished, the road from the Plav side has been constructed and prepared for asphalting in the next 10-15 days. Intense activities in Plav”, PM said.

 

 

PM announced in the next term of office two capital projects of paramount importance for this region and entire Montenegro.

“We want to implement two huge projects here, crucial for Plav and its residents: construction of Plav-Dečani road”, PM said.

The government of Kosovo has finished a great deal of activities.

We are in the completion phase of the main project. The investment is worth over €15 million and works will probably begin next year. We will agree with the Government of Kosovo on the financing of the most important investment on the road- tunnel which will open Plav, mountain Bogćevica, and entire Montenegro”, PM said.

Another important project is reclamation of the Plav lake.

 

“We want to create conditions for the protection of the lake in Plav. Plav sees serious development perspective. It is now up to us to focus on our chances and use them in the best possible way”, Mr Marković said.
