In a morning TV show on the public broadcaster TVCG, the Deputy Prime Minister and European Affairs Minister, Jovana Marovic, assessed that we could not make a decisive move on the road to the EU without progress in the area of rule of law and nomination of holders of judicial functions.
She also noted that Montenegro is not the EU member state because we haven’t reached the level of reforms needed for the membership.
The Minister reminds that the negotiations have been lasting for 10 years and that we should be closer to the EU. “Having in mind other WB countries, we’ve made the biggest progress in that process, but cannot make a decisive move without progress in the area of rule of law.”
