May: Let us do more to curb destabilising Russian campaigns

Theresa May

In light of the attempted state coup in Montenegro, UK prime minister Theresa May called on doing more to counter destabilising Russian disinformation campaigns, Pobjeda writes.

She said that at the European Council summit in Brussels.

“In light of the alleged Montenegro coup plot, I will call for us to do more to counter destabilising Russian disinformation campaigns and raise the visibility of the western commitment to this region,” May said.

She stated she was concerned over “increased instability in the Western Balkans and risks for collective security it can bring”.

At the summit in Brussels, leaders of the European Union will discuss the migrant crisis, economic affairs, common foreign and defence policy and the situation in the Western Balkans.
