Measures won’t kill virus, but they will kill business

Delta city

Few epidemic measures recently adopted by health authorities to target coronavirus control have introduced more confusion than that of entering malls with possession of a national digital Covid certificate. This measure, according to which the unvaccinated population is not allowed to enter, equally affected buyers and visitors, but also employees of Montenegrin shopping centers, Dnevne Novine reports.

Therefore, both are equally vocal in their demands that they cannot be denied the right to free movement and work, since the unvaccinated are not allowed access to jobs within the facilities.

That is why today the two largest shopping malls in Podgorica – the Mall of Montenegro and Delta City, look like a lockdown is in effect.Only a few passers-by and employees in shops that meet the condition from the digital certificate give the appearance of a normal situation, the consequences of which on the economy will only be discussed.

The last anti-Covid measures are in force until 24 September. Until then, only vaccinated people or those who have a negative PCR test and a quick antigen test can enter shopping malls.
