Medojevic: DF will respond to terrorism indictment

The president of the Movement for Changes (PzP) and one of the Democratic Front (DF) leaders, Nebojsa Medojevic, says that the political alliance will have a ready response to the potential indictment against DF leaders Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic for the election day coup attempt.

He claims that the DF leaders are innocent and that there is no evidence that they were involved in any wrongdoings.

“If the special state prosecutor Milivoje Katnic tries to arrest DF leaders, we will reconsider participation in the local elections in Herceg Novi,” Medojevic said appearing on the RTCG public broadcaster’s Iz Pravog Ugla (From the Right Angle) TV show on Wednesday evening.

Medojevic claimed that his life and lives of other DF leaders were endangered and that he had been wiretapped by National Security Agency (ANB) since 2000.

He reiterated allegations that special groups belonging to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) planned to cause chaos and bloodshed on election day on 16 October last year. The PzP leader repeated accusations that Milivoje Katnic fabricated a fake coup.

“He has fabricated the election day coup. Katnic enabled DPS victory, prevented opposition’s  victory, paralysed parliamentary life and brought Montenegro on the edge of instability. I expect Katnic to accuse DF leaders upon Milo Djukanovic’s instructions and Vladimir Beba Popovic’s plan, but we are going to response adequately,” he said.

Medojevic added he had obtained numerous pieces of information from his sources from the regime and the security services, which he made public. He also claimed that Montenegrin or possibly Serbian security services had issued passport to the cooperative witness Sasa Sindjelic.

“Isn’t it a bit awkward that someone who committed a murder in Croatia in 2002, has been hiding for so long. It is impossible that he has been working for so long and that he has not been an associate of Montenegrin, Serbian or some other secret services. Are you aware about what this man is ready to lie in order to protect himself,” said Medojevic.

According to him, DF will fight for freedom and democracy on the street because the institutions have been captured and are acting upon DPS leader Milo Djukanovic’s orders.
