Men from Podgorica attacked police officer after a car accident

Podgorica police filed criminal charges against M.B. (23), M.B. (23) and I.M. (23) from Podgorica on suspicion of being attacked by officers of the Podgorica police department Z.J., Dan newspaper reports.

The incident occurred three days ago in Montenegro national hospital. Before that, the three men from Podgorica had a car accident in the Donji Kokoti village, early in the morning. M.B. was driving, while the other two men were in the car with him.

After the crash they went to the Emergency Room to get medical help. I.M. rejected medical help and the driver’s blood was taken for testing to determine whether he was drunk when the accident occurred.

Performing his official duties, the officer Z.J. asked the driver to show his documents, but he refused to hand them over. Instead of delivering the documents M.B. verbally assaulted the police officer, insulting and cursing him. Then he slapped the officer. After that, the suspect M.J. approached the officer from behind and hit him in the head with his fist.

Then the suspect M.B. approached J.N. and hit him in the back with his hand. Then the officers managed to subdue and arrest the three suspects.
