German Chancellor Angela Merkel says that Germany will remain a reliable partner of Montenegro on its path to European integration.
In a conversation with Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, she welcomed the commitment of the Montenegrin Government to regional cooperation.
Ms Merkel and Mr Krivokapić discussed bilateral political and economic relations, the process of Montenegro’s accession to the EU and the reforms implemented by the government along the way. The Prime Minister thanked Ms Merkel for Germany’s support to the Government in reforms, especially those that will contribute to the rule of law, and also for its support in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
They also discussed the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
