In response to the questions of MPs, the Minister of Economic Development, Mr Jakov Milatović, told that the forthcoming tourism season would be successful. He also noted that the borders would remain open, particularly to the region.
“I hope that we’ll be in the situation to welcome people from more countries in the forthcoming period, following the decision of competent bodies and somewhat better health situation,” the Minister told.
Speaking about hospitality venues, the epidemiological measures will be eased even in some other municipalities, according to him.
Adoption of the budget today
Minister Milatović said that the state budget would be adopted today at the government’s session and forwarded to the parliament for further adoption in line with the legal deadline.
The budget, he added, envisages that this year’s tourism season will generate from 60% to 65% of revenues collected in 2019. This projection is based on the promotion of tourism, the vaccine roll-out program and health protocols.
ToMontenegro starts flying as of 1 June
