President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic has said that upon his return from Brussels, he will invite Prime Minister Milojko Spajic to a dialogue.
According to him, Montenegro is facing one of the most important challenges in its recent history, the successful overcoming of which will depend on the future of us and all future generations.
Milatovic has stressed that the results of a series of local elections show a worrying tendency of fragmentation and weakening of political entities belonging to the civic and European center.
“In the past, I have spoken several times about the importance of gathering those entities. I believe that in the coming period it is necessary to overcome the disagreements between the forces belonging to the civic center and jointly move towards the achievement of the most important foreign policy goal – Montenegro’s membership in the EU by 2028. This implies a joint agreement on the key principles of state policy, which will be based on cooperation and synchronized action in the coming period – especially between the President of the State and the Prime Minister”, Milatovic has pointed out.
