Minister of Economic Development, Jakov Milatović, is sure that Montenegro and China will find a way to agree over the loan Montenegro took out for construction of the Bar-Boljare highway.
Mr Milatović is paying an official visit to Zagreb, Croatia, and was speaking in a TV show of Croatia’s national broadcaster, HRT. “I’m sure that Montenegro and China will find a way to reach an agreement. More than 90% of works has been completed and the remaining, most demanding part should be finished by the end of the year. Moreover, I think we’ll find the way to negotiate over the loan payment deferral.”
Minister Milatović also added that the EU was interested in helping to repay the China loan.
“The worse thing is that the loan was taken in dollars,” he reiterated.
