In an interview for CdM, the holder of the Europe Now list for Podgorica, Jakov Milatovic, says that the citizens expect that, as he points out, the three winning lists – Europe Now, the Democratic Front and the Democrats – will quickly form a new city administration. Milatovic believes that the correct principle is that the lists that won the most mandates should give the mayors. He adds that they are starting discussions with DF about the formation of the government despite the numerous accusations that were coming from DF at the expense of Europe Now because, the holder of the list, Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, has distanced herself from the statements coming from one of the DF leaders, Nebojsa Medojevic.
Milatovic says he believes that after the local elections and the first democratic change of government in Podgorica, it is necessary to form a stable government that will rest on sound foundations as soon as possible.
People, he adds, are fed up with the bickering between the political subjects who won in August 2020.
“That’s why now is the time to be wiser, more modest, respect each other and to come to an agreement in the interest of the citizens of Podgorica and Montenegro”, he points out.
There is no cooperation with DPS, Milatovic stresses.
