During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on current political and economic situation in Montenegro, as well as the process of accession of Montenegro to the European Union and the degree of progress Montenegro achieved in negotiations with the EU and fulfilling of criteria for individual negotiation chapters that have been opened so far.
“Milic pointed out the significance of yesterday’s opening ceremony of the Blood Transfusion Institute of Montenegro, a project co-funded by the EU through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, as well as the importance of financial assistance to projects of regional character, such as border crossings between countries of the Western Balkans”, the SNP said in a statement.
During the meeting, they also exchanged views on Montenegro’s Progress Report, which is expected in mid-October. The report will focus on fundamental issues such as the rule of law, public administration reform, economic management, financial control, statistics, public procurement, and more.
Milic briefed Drobnič on activities of the SNP and plans of the party and its deputies’ club for the next period, in light of upcoming events announced.
