DPS will have 19 mayors in Montenegro municipalities

Milošević

“The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) will have 19 out of a total of 23 mayors, including Tuzi and Golubovce,” the DPS political director, Tarzan Milošević, told Pobjeda daily, adding that dynamics of establishing a governing coalition goes as planned.

“With the government’s assistance we will implement all the projects we promised to our citizens,” Milošević has said.

For now, we do not know which parties are going to establish the ruling coalition in Rožaje, as the Bosniak party, BS, won 10 seats and it can govern the municipality on its own. So far, an official meeting of the representatives of the BP, DPS and the Social Democrats still hasn’t been held, so we may expect Bosniaks to govern this municipality all alone.

And here’s what we know about Montenegro’s next mayors:

-The Municipality of Rožaje: Ejup Nurković or Rahman Husović (rumors suggest one of them will soon become mayor of Rožaje);

-The Municipality of Plav – someone from the SD as this party won 10 seats in Plav;

-The Municipality of Bijelo Polje – Petar Smolović of the DPS;

-The Municipality of Pljevlja – the DPS municipal committee will soon propose a candidate;

-The Municipality of Kolašin – it has been agreed the DPS to have its member as a mayor in this municipality. The name’s still unknown;

-The Municipality of Bar – Mićo Orlandić of the SD has been anointed the president of the Bar Municipal Assembly whereas Bar’s mayor is still unknown (probably someone from the DPS);

-Golubovci Municipality- a mayor will be anointed this week;

-The Municipality of Danilovgrad – DPS has proposed Zorica Kovačević to be mayor of this municipality;

-The Municipality of Žabljak – Veselin Vukićević of the DPS has already been performing duties of a mayor;

-The Municipality of Šavnik- a mayor will be anointed next week;

-Podgorica Municipality – Ivan Vuković of the DPS will be the capital’s mayor, whereas Đorđe Suhih of the SD is anointed the president of the capital’s municipal assembly.
