By decision of the Montenegrin Justice Minister, Andrej Milovic, the request of the Turkish Justice Ministry for the extradition of their national Binali Camgoz, 41, has been denied, the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro has confirmed for the CdM portal.
Camgoz has been accused of several serious crimes in Turkey, and for being involved in at least two assassinations.
In a document that CdM had the insight into, the Montenegrin Ministry of Justice justified their decision with Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, assessing that Camgoz’s extradition would be in defiance of that article and the medical examiner’s report.
The medical report says he’s a person with disability, or more precisely – he’s been suffering from paraplegia for 15 years already therefore confirming all the earlier reports of the Turkish healthcare institutions.
One of Mr Camgoz’s lawyers confirmed for TV E that he won’t be extradited, adding that he himself didn’t get the ministry’s decisions but Mr Camgoz certainly did.
