Montenegro is in a hybrid war. Coordinated Russian services are behind the cyber-attacks, the National Security Agency (ANB) has said.
Since late last night, Montenegro has been exposed to a new series of organized cyber-attacks on the Government’s IT infrastructure.
The primary target of the attack is the structure of state authorities.
“This kind of attack has been launched on Montenegro for the first time. It has been prepared for a long period of time. A critical infrastructure has been attacked”, ANB says, adding that the attack methodology is characteristic of Russian services.
Experts from the Ministry of Public Administration have taken timely defensive measures.
Prime Minister in technical mandate Dritan Abazovic has stated that the cyber-attacks on the government’s IT infrastructure is politically motivated.
