According to the 2018 Draft Budget Law, €50,303,559 will be allocated for the Ministry of Defence, which is by €5,765,918 more than this year.
Funds in the amount of €49.78m were planned for the financing defence expenditures, ie 3.28% of total current and budget expenditures. The largest part of that, ie 99.45% is allocated for the needs of military defence, the explanation of the draft budget says. The previous defence budget stipulated 2.93% allocations for defence.
The new budget envisages allocating €38,975,461 for the Armed Forces of Montenegro, which is more than this year when €35,715,513 was allocated.
