In the end of April this year, there was a total of 4.37 billion euro deposits in the Montenegrin banks increasing by 25.6% in a year, suggest the data of the Central Bank of Montenegro.
It happened thanks to non-residents who, since April 2021, transferred 393.45 million euro in domestic financial institutions, so their total deposits now amount to 1.25 billion euro. The locals, on the other hand, saved 210 million euro.
Economy deposits were 1.24 billion euro, going up by 242 million euro. When it comes to the maturity structure, demand deposits accounted for 74.75%, whereas fixed-term deposits made up 20.75% of the total amount.
