Montenegrin foreign minister pays official visit to Palestine

Montenegro foreign minister, Srđan Darmanović, today paid an official visit to Ramallah and met with the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Government, Rami Hadallah.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported PM Hamdallah had said Palestine appreciated Montenegro’s friendship. “Both sides expressed the interest in further improvement of the overall bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, primarily on tourism, education and culture,” the Ministry reported.

Darmanović also met with the chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, and used the opportunity to boast about results Montenegro is continuously achieving on the internal and foreign policy plan as well.

Erekat was happy to meet Darmanović and assessed the practice of having bilateral consultations between the two countries as extremely constructive.

Another official Darmanović met in Palestine was the advisor to president of the country in charge of foreign policy, Nabil Shaat.

Our chief of diplomacy today visited Yasser Arafat’s mausoleum and laid a wreath at Arafat’s tomb.
