Montenegrin offer and French experience – a winning combination

Mr Richard said that development of mountain tourism in Montenegro had a serious potential, so in the next period further efforts should be made in that direction. In addition to investing French capital in Montenegro, Mr Gvozdenovic stressed transferring of French knowledge, experience and standards as particularly important.

In the statement of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, it has been said that the two officials expressed satisfaction with growing number of French tourists in Montenegro – 10% more compared to the previous year. Mr Gvozdenovic also talked to tourist operators from France, in order to further motivate tourists from that country to come.

“In addition to projects relating to investments and tourism, the officials also expressed their interest in cooperation in projects related to communal and transport infrastructure, as well as environmental protection”, the Ministry communicated.

The Delegation of the Republic of France continues its visit to Montenegro with tours through the northern and coastal regions.

Mr Gvozdenovic and Mr Richard were particularly satisfied because of the chance to meet, exchange information related to the projects implemented in Montenegro and consider numerous opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. Minister Gvozdenovic emphasised importance of the Richard’s visit, which followed the visit the Montenegrin Prime Minister, Milo Djukanovic, had paid to France in December last year.
